ANOTHER GUITAR SMASHING WEEKEND IN SAN FRANCISCO!

Second Round Sensations Border On The Outrageous

Thursday, March 15th The Second Round number 7 opened a new chapter in the Emergenza International Music Festival, in fact, Chapter 47, as the band is known, is from Sacramento, California and is a powerful three-piece hard-rock band that will be coming to a backyard party near you. Their Black Sabbath cover stood out as a tribute. High Fly is a female fronted band that was promoting songs from their new album, Die For You. Terato from Daly City, California, is a four-piece rock band that had strong lead vocals and shredding guitars. Congrats for coming in first place. Colma, from Sac Town USA, is a five-piece metal band with powerful, angry vocals and lightning speed guitar riffs, that kept the crowd shouting for M-O-R-E. Colma will be back in the Semifinals. Dirty Orange Sun, a nu-grunge band, from San Francisco, is less than a year old, features a strong over-driven bass, strong guitar leads, and a hot drummer. The finale of their set ended with a down and out guitar smashing episode, and Dirty Orange Sun will be seen again in the Semifinal Round. Crimson Cloud, an experimental rock band, is from East Side San Jose, California. They closed the evening with a blend of funk, jazz, Latin and soul, moving on to the Semifinal Round. In summary, the energy and enthusiasm for Emergenza as the premier international music festival for new bands and emerging artists, remains at a high level, boosted in part by the magnificent venue here in SF, Rockit Room.
