Birmingham Bands Rock Out at The High Note!
The final weekend of eliminatory rounds took place at Birmingham’s best rock club The High Note. If you want to feel a pure rock’n’roll vibe you should check out The High Note situated in the heart of this quaint yet bustling southern city. Some of Birmingham’s finest local acts took the stage this past Friday night and rocked their socks off to gain audience approval and a shot at the semi-finals at Zydeco.
Bellygods kicked things off with a rock set that was original and appealing to a vast range of audiences. This power trio ripped through their set with strong vocals and harmonies, solid guitar riffs and great rhythms.
It wouldn’t be an Emergenza show without a hardcore metal band and Seraphim was just that. With a great stage presence, high energy and awesome songs these guys swept the audience off their feet and into the mosh pit!
AZ then took over and put on a rock show that was hard to top. With a great mix of roaring, singing and rapping these guys had everything a melodic metal band should have. They incorporated strong rhythms and excellent guitar work to amaze the audience. American Living then performed a powerful rock set with a drummer and bass player that knew truly how to play off of one another. The guitar riffs were on point and the vocals were that of true talent.
Enliven Days, another three-piece band, played a very original set with a front man who also plays bass. They were the true definition of “fun” and their performance radiated this energy throughout their set.
Hidden Element was the perfect closer band as they managed to capture the hearts and attention of every music lover in the house. Strong compositions, great rhythms and energy on stage that was hard to beat. One of the members even back flipped off of the stage!
If you haven’t had the chance to come out and see some of the Emergenza shows at the High Note you are truly missing out. Great music, excellent staff and service and a true rock club make for a night of pure fun!
