Battling Buffalo’s Winter Blues and Sabers too...

Two days of dueling bands at Club Diablo in Buffalo wound up the first round of The Emergenza festival this weekend. Friday, March 2nd Things began with END45 on stage bringing the air to life with new rock sounds. Quickly the band by the name of J.D Silver broke out their bluesy-rock riffs and being such seasoned musicians played a blazingly loud and interesting set. SIN (sadistic internal nature) really appeal to all of those who enjoy really loud fast thrash metal and didn’t disappoint. Next was Indie rockers Charles Wants to Kiss You Goodbye returning from the semi finals last year to once again grace the stage here in Buffalo. Roach was no doubt the most erratic and entertaining band of the evening, but with off color lyrics and enough cow bell to call in the herd may have stepped a little over the line. The Waves wrapped up the evening in style with matching white 3pc suits and a retro-rock, new modernists, British rock flavored act. Saturday, March 3rd Saturday Night featured A Wretch Like Me beginning things with hardcore action. These young guys were pretty solid and lots of room to grow. Musicface brought a quiet indie cloud over Club Diablo with inspired vocals and acoustic sound. Hit The Ground livened things up again with blazing guitars and a punk-rock feel. Wagner got freaky with it next and had an inspiring rock sound with unique songs and vocals. Rusted Bullet ended the night off with metal flavored with a tin flute and guitar accompaniment that brought the first round to an end here in Buffalo. Lets see what happens next...
