ANOTHER FANTASTIC WEEKEND OF BROOKLYN’S QUARTER FINALS!
The Emergenza Music Festival conducted another fantastic weekend of Brooklyn’s quarter finals on Friday and Saturday, and the last elimination round on Sunday. Located in Red Hook, Brooklyn, The Hook provided the bands and audience with mind blowing sound and loveable staff.
Come to The Hook and see for your self, you won’t be disappointed.
The bands varied widely in their genres and styles providing the audiences with a surprise with each and every band.
Friday, March 9th
Seasons Changing started the evening and set the bar for the rest of the night. These youths came out and shocked the crowd with their catchy riffs and high energy set.
Rosencrantz kept the crowd rockin’ with their tight musicianship and hard edged tunes. The drummer treated us with drum solo even John Bonham would be proud of.
Dirty Mother Nation showed everyone a good time with their catchy songs and epic guitar solos. The crowd was not disappointed.
Soldiers of Fortune kept the club bumpin’ with their 8 piece hip-hop act. In the midst of all the rock bands, they commanded the respect of the crowd and put on one hell of a show.
A Murder Among Friends ended the night but not on a light note. These guys were brutally heavy. They closed the night by stirring up their fans turning them into metal maniacs.
Saturday, March 10th
Lomaxx from the planet Lomaxx started the night out with his spacey out funk grooves. These guys launched the crowd into the funkosphere!!
Dump Body took the stage next to play for their legions of screaming fans. With the lead singer rapping and the female vocalist backing him up, this band played a great set and stood out from the crowd.
Section 8 Cartel took it from where Dump Body left off and played on hell of a show the crowd went nuts as did the musicians as they tore through their electrifying set.
The Fearless changed things up with their catchy songs and harmonized vocals. These guys had a great original sound and an ability to write great songs.
Stackin Apples slowed things down a bit with their funk and blues inspired grooves. This three piece brought a whole different feel to the night.
Code 6 finished up the night and went out with a bang... a head bang. These metal masters showed the crowd how to shred with their old school metal tunes.
Sunday, March 11th
Dank Effect started the night out and set the mood for the rest of the night. It was impossible to look away from the stage with their great stage presence, funky grooves, and high voltage energy.
A New Shade of Black came onstage and impressed the crowd with their musicianship and thought provoking lyrics. These youths really threw down and rocked the place.
The Command Radio hit the stage next and performed a stellar set. These guys had the riffs and the ability to have the crowd humming their tunes well after the show.
The Hope Dies in Dozens came out and screamed their lungs out with their heavy songs and tight rhythm section. These young lads really know how to put on a show.
Crave the Air had jaws dropping to the floor as they shredded their way through their brutally heavy set. These guys played with such a technical proficiency, they didn’t miss a beat or a note.
Steve Lieberman the Gangsta Rabbi took the stage and immediately had the crowd’s attention. With two bass players and no guitars, this band was something nobody had ever seen before. The crowd absolutely loved these fine lads.
