2 days of Miami rock...
Eleven bands and tons of energy at Original Fat Cat’s
The weekend in Miami started out on Friday, January 26th with Earthdog, a really tight funk- blues band.
General Population had a great vocalist and a ton of energy. Following up was a hard-rock band, Vagrant, with good guitars and energy.
Changing up the style a bit, Splunge took the stage. They had a great energy and a very different sound.
Sosos were up next and slowed it down a bit with some acoustic funk with great harmonies and songwriting. Without a Struggle picked up the pace again with hardcore rock and ended the night on a great note.
Saturday, January 27th continued with more great music: Favella starting us out something totally different! They included a little bit of every genre in the music and at one point, even started playing a flute.
Next up was Morning After, alternative rock: had great energy and included something I don’t see very often, a Theremin.
Speeding it up a little was Last Summer. They had great energy and guitar riffs. Dopesick combined metal and hip-hop to create a sound of their own.
Finishing out the night and weekend was The Broadcast! They had a ton of energy and stage presence.
We had a great weekend and I am looking forward to the semi-finals at Beach Bar in April!
