Back to the basics, Cleveland is still Rockin’

Round One Week one in The Forest City

Thru cold weather and snowstorms, the 2007 season of started off well at the Pirate’s Cove inside the Peabody’s. This show was full of great bands: it was a surprise to see some of the great bands from previous years coming back to do another show. I can’t wait to see what will happen with the semi final nights in April. From Beyond The Gates phat beats, to Johnny Mohawk and the Assassins awesome set, with Irreality revisiting with a great representation of true Cleveland rock, or Second Sunday’s strong vocals and great hooks, there were so many good bands this weekend Cleveland will surely be sending another band to Detroit to compete for the winning spot to go to the mid west finals in Chicago. Cleveland has been know for its strong metal scene, but this year its nothing but the best of all genres coming out to show Cleveland what its’ made of. I have heard around that Cleveland doesn’t have a good music scene, but after this weekend this city has shown me that this is still a strong pulse still beating. Keep your eye on this city! There’s a strong storm of music coming you way Detroit!
