Devils, Flyers and oooohhh damn those Eagles,

Trenton New Jersey what a place not to be...

Thursday, January 11th Tempus opened the Trenton leg of the festival loud and brash with a hardcore feel to their act. One False Move chose to begin their American tour with this strong and methodical Emergenza set of heavy rock tunes… ”We’re goin’ to California!”. Dorety Brothers Band the self proclaimed old guy band played like Neil Young in his younger days. Headstash interesting and funky kept the Trenton Thursday alive. American Halo being an all female band really impressed all the boys with their pop-rock- alternative, girl songs. El Silencio, a venue favorite, played heavy Spanish tunes and rocked out the 449 in their own unique way. E.M.P. brought together the sounds of close to 10 people on stage and blended fusion funk and some m.c. action to wrap up the first Thursday of the fest in Trenton. Friday, January 12th Bansai Bills young and entertaining made quick work of the crowd at the 449 Friday and beginning things with a heated set. Casual Genius followed up with a rock o’ plenty set of quick songs. Cold Blooded Promise did exactly what they promised: filled the air with a heavy metal core sound. Local Demise next went to work on the audience ear drums with a blend of punk rock and hard core. Hand Drawn Epic took over the stage with a poppyer punk feel and the night came to an early close with The Magnums rock sounds. Saturday, January 13th Rain or Shine took the stage on the final night of the premier weekend at the 449 room with indie rock style followed up by some punk players from a band called Sugar High. The Reckoning made their metal felt with blistering riffs and impressive chops. Amskray were definitely having an “on” night and proceeded to impress with their version of alt rock music. Another set of young guys, The Beesknees, followed with more alternative rock sounds. Glen Landing brought the band to Trenton for their set of alternative pop music from parts unknown and then the boys in A Day in Disguise, from down the street finished it all off in style with an instrumental set of melodic rock…quite impressive. But damn those Eagles.
