San Francisco's second season of the Emergenza International Music Festival was launched last month in one of The City By The Bay's hottest clubs, The Rockit Room! The state-of-the-art sound system and atmosphere energized the outstanding line-up of bands that hit the stage. On October 20 and 21, each night featured a broad cross section of today''s musical genres, and showcased some of Northern California's most incredibly talented bands proving that San Francisco is at the center of the Left Coast's pop music scene. Dammit opened its set with metal punk that turned up the intensity of the evening''s fare with solid vocal deliveries and very creative stage moves. This was followed by Jerk's animated stage presence and gritty punk presence. Sagaval's lead guitar shred sent a turbo-electrifying message across the footlights. OK City OK swapped instruments between solos and vocals, and Jeremy Miller Band, two brothers, delivered power pop extraordinaire. Deciduous'keyboard frontman and awesome rhythm section closed out the evening with its ripping funk rock. The Emergenza International Music Festival in San Francisco continues to offer the most accessible opportunity for bands to gain exposure, through the unlimited possibilities for music performance in a great venue.
