Melbourne based grunge band, Ella’s High was formed at the end of 2013. Brought together after years of trialled band members, Rhys' final line up consists of Sean Kachrimanis on Drums and Patrick Dempsey on Bass. With an album already written in 2012 called 'Skeleton Tracks' the band had plenty of foundation to work on. During this time of learning the album, song writing continued and a number of new songs were brought into the set, which really started to define the sound and direction of the band. Given the opportunity to stamp their own influence on the new material and given a licence to change any of the older songs, Sean and Patrick took no time at all to learn and help create what is now, 'Ella’s High'.
The band is heavily influenced by the Seattle Scene in the 90’s and other great bands from that era, with a contrast of music ranging from heavy beats and bass with screaming vocals, to the more laid back with just guitar and vocals. Ella’s High is looking at making 2015 to be the start of something for many years to come in the Melbourne music scene.
