Fusing a style of pop-rock and punk, Run For A Bus has a musical repertoire that boasts countless catchy tunes – tunes that can encourage any age group to sing, or clap, along. Their refreshing, up-beat, melody driven songs give them a unique sound – making it easy to see why they have labeled themselves ‘New Aussie Rock’.
In March, Run For A Bus’s first two live performances won them both the heat and the final of the 2009 Brisbane Band Competition. Since then, the band has been “up to their eyeballs in work,” producing their own album – which will be available, online, in the upcoming months. “We are just being ourselves, doing what we love” stated Run For A Bus drummer, Anthony Salsone. “It is such a bonus to see that everyone else is enjoying it as much as we are.”
