Formed in autumn 2005, Route Irish stepped on their long way to what they’ve grown to today. In the beginning they had to find their own style of music. The influence of bands like Pantera, Black Label Society, Down and Black Sabbath brought them the groove. A big problem was (and is) the songwriting. It’s a hard and long progress because of the band’s perfectionism. In 2007 Route Irish successfully played their first real gig and bounded with the small “hard” music-scene of the Schwalm. The mighty Stoner Rock also came into the band’s musical horizon and became a big part of Route Irish’s music. 2008 brought the band lots of fortune: New gigs, new songs and joining the “Brotherhood of Southern Spirit” for sharing their passion for good music. In this network, with our new songs, sound our new found professionality we’re looking forward to grow even bigger and to march on to the top.
