    Rosa Alchemica is a contemporary post punk band, formed in 2005. The band’s name originates from William Butler Yeats philosophising novel and study of alchemist’s bearing the same name. Singer Eddie Darko and lead guitarist Andreas Marian first met in their hometown of Tartu, Estonia many moons ago. They both trod separate paths to London, England where they formed Rosa Alchemica. Eddie chose to travel through The Irish republic, learning his trade as a downtrodden yet upbeat distorted troubadour, whilst Andreas headed straight for the big smoke where he was to develop his love of sub pop influenced guitar solos. The multitalented duo also play together in DND with Andreas singing and Eddie heading up lead guitar.

    Joining Eddie and Andreas is New Zealander Greg Gibson on drums.He set out on a journey to London almost a decade ago, stopping to hone his rhythmic skills in Los Angeles, before arriving in the UK on Valentine’s Day 2004. Band's bassist for last two years, Adam David Phillips has left the band and currently Rob /Rainer Sirel/ from DND is helping out for some upcoming gigs meanwhile the band is looking for a bassist to join the band.

    The Debut Album: 3000 miles 3000 nights was recorded in an abandoned gay bar in London’s east end in 2007-2008 by Greek musician Alex Miaris (Electric Litany) and Spaniard Manuel Mara. Post production was carried out by Miaris, Darko, Marian throughout 2008-2009.

    Guitarist Andreas recalls “The first time I went in this place it was a fucking mess man. The bar was still set up but dry, obviously. They had this stage with bars in front of it. I went to take a piss and there was these fucking huge glory holes in the toilet walls, this was a serious place man, we had plenty of time to experiment”

    Eddie’s contrasting experiences in London and Ireland are evident with songs such as Spatial and When It Rain’s Down. Whilst Never you and Sweet FA have the more raucous edge of being written in a Russian bordering nation. Now Then Always recently featured on sports broadcaster ESPN’s ‘being Mike Escamilla’ video with voiceover from skateboarding legend Tony Hawke.

    Rosa have spent the last four years playing familiar underground music venues such as; Cargo, Bull and Gate, Water Rats, Barden’s Boudoir, Purple Turtle, Turnmills, Nambucca, Metro, The Buffalo bar and many more. They’ve also played dates in Estonia, where they recently sold out a mini tour.
    Currently working/demoing/gigging new material for the second album 'Lost In The Capital', due to be recorded and released this year.
