Songs To Kill Zombies To (STKZT) is a 5-piece metal/deathcore band hailing from the Netherlands. Their music is considered metalcore with deathcore influences, but the band likes to call their music “Zombiecore”. STKZT was born during a school project in which students had to make a zombie shooter. Danny van der Hoeven and Rik Heebing made a soundtrack named “Shoot ‘Em In The Head”. It was soon after, that the guys had an EP ready, but they wanted more, they wanted an album… and a bandname. The name was found very fast “Songs To Kill Zombies To”, basically tells the essence of their music. Starting songwriting in November 2009, by the time of March 2010 their debut album was finished. In June 2010, the whole album was recorded and mastered and ready for sale. In the months after, the 2 found competent zombiehaters to join them in a planned tour.
STKZT writes songs that help you to exterminate zombies and the likes. The lyrics give you advice and the pounding instruments and the evil growls will give you the motivation to slay zombies. For those who couldn’t find the right tunes while playing zombie shooters, get some Songs To Kill Zombies To.
