    ROCKMASTER GENERAL is a leading rock and roll band from Washington, DC. Founded in 2001, Rockmaster has received critical praise from DC to New York for their moving live performances and their catchy and edgy music. Singer/trumpeter Thomas Bondor sings and shakes with intellectual abandon, catapulted forward by the refined animal rhythms of drummer Matt Rehfuss and bassist Kush el-Amin. Melodic flourishes and primal riffs are the provenance of guitarist J. Atom Fenster and guitarist/Rhodes player Barclay Saul. The end product is a distinctly new version of Rockmaster's beloved rock and roll. Comparisons have been made to bands as far-reaching as the Talking Heads, B-52s, and Dr. Dre.

    Rockmaster General self-released their debut album in the summer of 2003. Within the album, Rockmaster General, one hears subject matter ranging from the paranoid musings of a traitor spy to romantic high school dances with the apples of our eyes.
