E.X.O is a Philadelphia based band formed in the depths of suburbia by, Augustus Roszko (vocals,guitar,piano,video production), Frank Lanigan (guitar,3D and web design), Paul Davide (Bass, human resources, joined late 2003) and Paul Augustine (drums, web programming). Their debut live EP was released in 2002, establishing their schizophrenic prog rock, experimental based approach. E.X.O preferred to take an artistic standpoint creating music interesting to the musician but earful to the mainstream audience. Their live performances consist of an audio-visual experience comparable to Pink Floyd's with an underground rave scene feel. They take full advantage of the G4 Powerbook and v.j. software (video scratching) to edit, mix and project visuals on screen. Geared more to the "OPEN MINDED" listener, E.X.O is a breath of fresh air. Striving to recondition the ear, the arrangements in the songs seem radical but still flow with momentum. With total artistic freedom as the core, E.X.O finds themselves curiously awaiting where the music will take them.
