When you see a band like Hurricane Love stepping on stage you know that you're going to get some great pop tunes. It must be the look or the fact that they are simply and wonderfully Swedish but before they even struck their first chord we felt it. We knew it. Obviously they did not disappoint, in fact they were better than we expected. The Malmoe quintet played good tunes, no wait, excellent tunes.
They went through synth pop songs like ready made rock stars. On stage confidence and super singing technique was “the standard” for them. What we felt is that they are ready to take the big time. Anybody out there wanna sign them? The slow number put in the middle of the set (quite cleverly) was compelling and it left me with goose bumps. As I felt that, I looked around and saw that everybody was feeling the same way. At this point we know that this band will get far. If they don't, it's criminal. Good luck Hurricane Love, keep flying the flag for Sweden. You have a now a new fan.....oh, sorry, as the people standing around me reading what I'm typing clearly point out : You have many new fans !

HURRICANE LOVE: Can they be gorgeous and play amazing tunes at the same time?
Why are Swedish bands always so good? Is it a pre-requisite? Does the Swedish government impose that on people?
