It’s over! The 2007 Festival in Dublin is over. In fact the Finals venue, Vicar Street, is such an unreachable place for all the up and coming bands that Emergenza offers them a real opportunity to play there with a great exposure to medias and promoters. I guess everybody had great time there… We all know why: great sound, wonderful light show, packed venue... The evening started with the Djinn distorted guitars and screams. Their precise trash-metal was really appreciated by the people came for the finals. Then the band Lint came on stage. The 3 pieces combo rocked the stage as they never did before. The youngest band of the night, Brighton Avenue, set the place on fire then with their inspired rock. Be sure that in few years you will hear about them… Naxalite arrived then with a metallic sound heavy and loud. Silken with their charming singer played a perfect set and won a Musicman SUB bass as Laura was elected best bass player of the night. The Rip Tide rocked the stage with a very good music coming from the 70’s with nice melodies and a completely crazy audience. Their drummer got two Sabian cymbals to award his tightness and style. We can also salute the Open Door Policy Show, Only 3 on stage but acting as if they were 25... A very impressive show was the one of Petrochemical Accelerator, with their Pantera and Corrosion Of Conformity influences they made no concession: straight, heavy and in your face baby… You will find on the 2007 Emergenza compilation a song of the band that came 3rd during the Finals: Cameostate, impressive singer acting on the 15 meters of the Vicar street stage, good show and good pop-rock too. Radio Prague and their explosive show with electro and rock influences made the crowd sing and dance... 25 minutes is really too short... Finally the night finished with a very rock band called Crescendo Rising : nice guys playing cool and tight stuff with a good looking show. But the winner of the night is called Stillroom. They played a perfect rock set with old school influences. They not only won a Crate amp top an cabinet as Scottie was the best guitar player, but they reached Emergenza world wide finals... Are you ready for the experience... Let’s see that next summer in Germany...
