As a german progressive metal band from Jena/Thuringia Junksound have been making music since 2007. Their style is something in the middle of Rock and Metal with a little progressive on top. The result they like to call Post-Progressive which is a combination of heavy riffing, complex harmonies, rock ballads and dynamic rythmic ideas. The traditional line-up consists of two guitars, bass, drums and vocals. The aim is to create music far away from simplistic rock clishés but without the pomposity of tech metal. On live shows this makes their set fluent and easily projects the emotions on the audience, while it always hides details for a second listening. On an EP Junksound have recorded 4 songs of their recent set now and tons of material are still in the making.
