The Push Reggae Band are coming to 24 Moons

    You ready?

Your first gig for Emergenza is a few days away ? how do you feel?

To say we are very very excited would be an understatement. As a matter of fact we are brushing up on our German.

What can the audience expect from you guys?

The Push Reggae Band are coming to do just that. Push Reggae! Full time. No excuses. No apologies. Straight up Royal reggae music.

How did you end up playing music together?

The Push consists of five members. Four of which are from the Seychellois and Mauritian community. Which means we are Creole. The community itself is quite small and we have linked up through our local dances and social clubs. Our drummer is an honorary creole with good all Aussie roots. However it is mostly our friendship that has brought us to this point and our love of reggae.

Any hidden messages behind your band name? Who came up with
    the name and how?

The band started off is 2012. The name itself was suggested by an ex member and was embraced by all straight away. Reggae music is attached to the Rastafarian movement. The message we are trying to Push is one love, one aim and one destiny worldwide. simple.

The Push is headlining the ultimate dream festival, which legendary bands (past or present) would you want to play along with?

Hands down it would have to be Steel Pulse or Aswad. Akae Beka, Damian Marley, Alpha Blondy. There are just so many.

Are there any artists who have influenced the bands style?

David Hinds, Brinsley Forde, Elijah (from the Seychelles), Ras Ricky (from the Seychelles), Bruno Raya (from Mauritius)

Finally, why should the audience vote for The Push at 24 Moons  on Wednesday night?

May as well. Didn't you hear? We are going to Germany. Sure thing. Boom!
