Your first gig for Emergenza is a few days away ? How do you

feel?     

I'm really keen! I haven't done many Battle of the Bands styled shows
before so it'll be a lot of fun!
 


What can the audience expect from you guys?

Expect easy listening tunes. I use a looping station when I perform so
it's not just your typical singer/songwriter set, but hopefully something a
little more memorable!


How did you end up playing music together?

I ended up learning guitar when I started getting into Blink 182 and
from there it just grew on me. I transitioned from mostly pop punk and
alternative rock to acoustic when I started to sing and from there
songwriting just came naturally. My current style all just seemed to fall
into place.



Any hidden messages behind your band name? Who came up with the

name and how?

I chose to call myself "Jacob Sydney" because it's easy to remember,
catchy, and it's both of my given names.



'Jacob Sydney' is headlining the ultimate dream festival, which

legendary bands (past or present) would you want to play along with?

Ed Sheeran, Jeff Buckley, James Bay and John Mayer would be the dream
lineup to play alongside!



Are there any artists who have influenced the bands style?

All of the artists I just mentioned have dm definitely influenced my
songwriting and overall performance, along with the likes of Blink 182 for
inspiring me to pick up an instrument and get started with it!
