OSCAR AND THE GROUCHES are not just 4 guys from Australia's most populated city. They are what we would describe as "young musicians with the right set of ears". Making fun, pop funk music, they put the F in the fun element. Melodies and synth sounds make this band an all round recipe for success.


WHAT SORT OF SOUND CAN THE PUBLIC EXPECT FROM YOUR BAND?? 

We love 70’s funk, hip - hop, pop, surf rock so some concoction of those four. Including Brass, Drums, Bass, Keys (Synths) and Guitar. We basically wanna be Michael Jackson.

HOW DID YOU ALL MEET & HOW LONG HAS THE BAND BEING TOGETHER?

Three of us met at school. Luke (bass) met us through working at a studio and then horn guys just follow us around everywhere cause they love us.

Oscar & The Grouches. My brother chose it. He also had Oscar & the Golden Globes. But Sesame Street won.

It’s been pretty heathy. We’ve played all over the shop, from dingy bars to 2 people to big corporate gigs for 400 people. So i would say it’s been pretty random, but fun non the less.

Playing at the Metro Lair is just the best! Great sound, great vibes. It’s just a good opportunity to get up there and just have a bash. We’re all gonna dance until we are weak at the knees.
