We threw a few question at Rick South, singer songwriter/melody master and main man in Rick South and The Gang.....this is what he said



WHAT SORT OF SOUND CAN THE PUBLIC EXPECT FROM YOU AT THE EVELYN THURSDAY?

The sort of sound expected from Rick South and the Gang is Country/Pop/Rock with influences of Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Tim Mcgraw and Jack Ingram. Good country rock music.

HOW DID YOU ALL MEET & HOW LONG HAS THE BAND BEING TOGETHER?

How we met? All of us met previously in a past life and have been together ever since. Everyone has really easy going personalities. (High-five!)

THE NAME OF THE BAND: WHO CHOSE IT? REALLY GUYS....NO LIES ALLOWED  ;)

Rick South and the Gang was chosen because of the deep blue south in America and I couldn't use Ricardo as it wasn't Country enough, and the Gang was thrown in there to include everyone in the group. (There you go!)

IF YOU CAUGHT YOUR BEST FRIEND’S LITTLE BROTHER LISTENING TO REALLY CHEESY DANCE MUSIC, WOULD YOU:

A)  TIE HIM UP AND FORCE HIM TO LISTEN TO YOUR FAVOURITE BAND

B)  LET HIM BE

C)  TELL HIM TO LEARN AN INSTRUMENT

If I saw a kid dancing to dance music I would most certainly tell him to learn how to play and instrument as he is passionate about music. (nice way of putting it)

…...AND FINALLY, IF YOU'D WON EMERGENZA FESTIVAL AND WENT TO GERMANY TO PLAY THE HUGE STAGE AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING WITH YOU WHAT WOULD IT BE?

A) A REALLY GOOD CAMERA

B) EXTRA MONEY

C) GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND

If I made it to Germany I would bring extra money to budget for ourselves overseas, smart way of thinking......we could stay there extra time, play some extra gigs do some traveling and do some extra drinking!
