SO, DO YOU THINK YOU'RE READY FOR THE BIG NIGHT?

Yes we most certainly are. We have a solid line up of songs, a show like no other going around at the moment and a bunch of people who love us as much as we love them coming down to party!


WHAT'S THE BAND DOING TO GET READY FOR THE FINALS? REHEARSING MUCH?

Our rehearsal schedule is fairly consistent. We jam as often as we can. We won Musicland Fawkner's Bandwars competition which is being broadcast on foxtels Aurora channel at the moment so from that we have met some great people with hints, tips and equipment to help us along the way. For this gig we have enlisted the Help of George and Sam from GM Studios who have been kind enough to lend us a stage for a few nights to help us get our new stage show down.



WHAT, IF ANY, CHANGES HAVE YOU MADE TO YOUR STAGE SET-UP OR YOUR LIVE PERFORMANCE WITH THE FINALS IN MIND?

We have added a theatrical element to our show. It is something we have always spoken about doing and the state final we decided it was time to
pull out all the stops. The show we have put together is not about using props for the sake of using props such as holding a skull in your hand or
hanging a bandana from your belt, it's about adding a visual element to really help us convey our message. Everything you will see on stage will
contribute to our show in some way.


WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR THE BIG NIGHT?

We are hoping that all bands bring their A game and we have a huge crowd to see every act. We expect that everyone who comes to this event will bear witness to literally some of the best acts in Melbourne.


WHAT EFFECT DO YOU THINK WINNING WOULD HAVE ON THE BAND?

It would take us to new heights not only on Australia but also Europe. It will reassure us that we are doing the right thing and to keep on playing
our songs.


CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE FESTIVAL SO FAR? ANY FUNNY ANECDOTES FROM YOUR PREVIOUS SHOWS OR REHEARSALS LEADING UP TO THE FINALS?


The competition so far has been a party. It was excellent to be able to play Max Watts. It's a struggle for bands to get to be on such a huge stage
when they are first starting out as the numbers required by the venue are hard to pull when it's really only your mates, facebook followers etc. who
know you exist.That was epic.

Playing these shows has really focussed our rehearsals on the one goal, putting on the best overall show possible. This has in turn made us better
performers. We are notorious for turning every rehearsal into a party as we are all addicted to groove. It's something tribal you know. It happens when you treat every instrument percussively. Rhythm first then the melody. That's how you get the sound of No Stairway.

Just wanted to thank everyone who has been involved with No Stairway this last year. We are going to play as hard as we can and do our utmost to
bring home the win. We love everyone who supports live music in the Country. Please keep doing what you're doing and helping to bring alive the
dream for so many of us who would be lost without our music.
