All we can say is wow…..what the fuck did we just witness? were these Japanase boys from a different planet? What was that?? A beat master beatboxing and recording with loops, partnering with an acoustic ukulele playing mad riffs. This was an experience we never, ever felt. A 25 minute dance music set made by wonderfully strange people dressed in kimonos barefoot onstage. Special guests came and went throughout this sublime set. A shamisen player, a traditional Japanese banjo like instrument was introduced and the 3rd member was fittingly placed in the middle and demonstrated finger technique that nobody has. Great country music like riffs were blended with the rest. Out goes the Shamisen player and in comes a wonderful woman singing an operatic “aria”. Remember, all this was while the beats and the fast riffs were being discharged like the best dance hip hop loops. This was an astonishing set. We are speechless. Thank you Japan for giving us this beautiful experience.
