You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2014/2015. What made you decide to take part in it?
Because some members of our band participated to a previous edition of Emergenza Festival with another musical project, and the impression was positive.

As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?
We think that it will be the first real chance to get in the musical world in a professional way, and this is amazing for us!

What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?
The moment of the winners nomination, and the big support of our fans!

What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?
Pop James are inspired by an old and lively composer, Bob James, author of many smooth-jazz milestones that influenced the hip-hop scene. We love Bob James!

If you had to choose a famous song that represents your band...which one would it be?
“Nautilus” - Bob James

If your band had another name, what would it be?
If we played Rock: Rock James.
If we played Metal: Metal James.
If we played Polka: Polka James. Etc.

Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage?
Maybe It’s not so funny, but the first 3 minutes of our last concert were terrifying: all the electronic system didn’t respond! Pure tension. Fortunately, we are here, answering to this question.

What can audiences expect from one of your live performances?
Party and Love.

Before you go on stage, do you have a ritual or a good luck charm that goes everywhere with you?
Our singer kisses us on the cheek and says something in Neapolitan Slang that we don’t understand.

What is your dream gig?
We hope that we could inspire to behave in a constructive and positive way

Do you guys have any hobbies? What do you do when you don’t play?
Our bass player designs boardgames!

If you could invite a band or an artist at your party, dead or alive, who would it be?
Obviously, Bob James.

What are your short to medium term plans after the international final?
We’ll publish our first album, “Super Power, Super Quiet” in September/October. Stay tuned!

Why do you think you deserve to win the 2015 Festival edition?
Because our band is made by people with very different backgrounds and approaches. We think that Pop James represents a peaceful and harmonized combination of these musical roots. And so, we could be appreciated by a big, heterogeneous audience.
