LET'S TALK ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF YOUR BAND: WHEN WAS IT BORN AND HOW?

Dangerous Curves was born out of Geelong at the start of 2015. Our mutual love of rock n roll brought us together to create something fresh in our town.

WHAT ARE YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
Our musical influences vary quite a bit. We all have a different background. But as a band we draw influence from great 70's/80's and 90's greats like Alice Cooper, KISS, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Motley Crüe, Skid Row ect ect...

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? TALK US ABOUT THE PECULIARITIES OF YOUR MUSIC!
Dangerous Curves are all about having a good time, all the time!A lot of bands these days just want to be the heaviest or darkest with growling vocals..but we don't really understand what's upsetting them so bad haha.. Life's not so bad, life's good! So we try to reflect that with our music!

IS THERE A SONG THAT IS SPECIAL FOR YOU? IF SO, WHICH ONE AND WHY?
"Blow my Whistle" was the first song we wrote together as a band, but the song "Sharnae" was written by our Guitarist Cammy and his Uncle.

ON AVERAGE, HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND  PLAYING AND HOW CAN YOU BALANCE THIS WITH YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE?
We like to try and get together at least 2 times a week. Our rehearsal space is at our Drummer Luke's house and we all work similar hours so it's usually not hindering our personal lives. Besides, we love doing this!

HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT EMERGENZA FESTIVAL AND WHY YOU DECIDED TO TAKE PART IN IT?
Kym our singer signed us up to Emergenza fest! We all agreed that it's a great opportunity for an unsigned band to get their name out there and socialize with other artists and industry people.

DOES THE COMPETITION WITH OTHER BANDS WORRY YOU OR GIVE YOU ENERGY?
No, we thrive off hearing and seeing other artist perform!

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM EMERGENZA AND HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR FIRST EMERGENZA CONCERT?
We're excited to be able to play in such a cool event and to showcase our music and hard work we have put into putting a great show!
