Getting Ready to Groove To The HAYBAX Beat

Melbourne duo HAYBAX gets us pumped up for their upcoming gig at The Hi-Fi for the state finals this Sunday

These guys show us that more doesn’t necessarily mean better when it comes to sound. They take a two-piece set up and transform it into a full sound that engages audiences and keeps them moving to the HAYBAX beat. Don’t miss your chance to see this electric duo at the state finals of Emergenza Festival Australia on stage at the prestigious Hi-Fi. Before the show, the guys in the band sit down to catch up with us:

EXPLAIN TO US WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR BAND FROM ANY OTHER BAND IN YOUR GENRE?
We are a two-piece set up but have a sound much bigger then that. Our personality and vibe makes people chill out and relax but have a great time when they hear us!

WHAT FIRST GOT YOU INTO SONG WRITING AND PLAYING LIVE?
The feeling that music gives us when we jam and play makes everything go away. We write about real life and wanted to share it live with fans.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT A HAYBAX GIG?
The experience of feeling like putting your feet up with a drink in hand to jumping around the dance door singing at the top of your lungs having the time of your life.

WHAT’S THE MOST INSANE PART OF EMERGENZA SO FAR?
Being a two-piece acoustic band against bigger heavier bands and standing out to the crowd. Having the other bands appreciate our sound as different it is to theirs has been a humbling experience.

HOW’S IT FEEL TO BE IN THE STATE FINALS? AND WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT PLAYING THE HI-FI?
Feels amazing to be apart of a huge contest with amazing talent and being a contender. Not only do we get to play at the huge HI-FI BAR stage we get to do it with our friends, family, fans and Melbourne's hottest unsigned bands.
