The solo artist in They Set Fire—ironically a one-man band—is setting the music scene in Adelaide on fire by going totally against the mainstream. These days even music considered alternative tends to fit into very conventional formats, but this guy goes completely against the grain. In a world where more is more, They Set Fire strips things down to the basics. He uses guitar, voice and samples to carve out his very singular, minimalist artistic voice, fused with ambient electro inspiration.
