The Moody, Electro Vibe of La Lune
Listening to the tunes of Sydney electro indie artist La Lune before he takes the stage at The Lair
The name La Lune perfectly sums up this moody, electro indie rock artist from Sydney. Songs like “Stay” set the tone for his minimalist, electronic sound, as well as his ever-present tales of love and loss, which are spun through melancholy synths, reverb and harmony laden vocals, punctuated by fat beats. Think artists like Alt-J minus the hysteric obsession with painting cinematic imagery, and with an emphasis instead on building mood through a sparsely layered soundscape. Ethnic influences shine through on songs like “Hitler’s Tea Party”, which features tribal percussion groove set against the omnipresent synth and harmonized vocals. Perfect music for letting your mind and you emotions flow. Don’t miss your chance to see La Lune live this Sunday, August 31st at The Lair. Among several rock groups, he’s up against another electro artist for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. Come out to The Lair to see what goes down. And click here for more info on the gig.
