Fast, Powerful, and Red Soaking Wet

Melbourne band Red Soaking Wet combines old school punk, metal and break neck speed into their original tunes—rock out with them tomorrow night at The Espy

Mix old school punk, thrash, and a little bit of noise… wrap it up in metal head clothing and you’ve got the extremely hard rocking Melbourne band Red Soaking Wet. When these guys get on stage the audience knows they don’t f*ck around—performing songs like “Weed Bitch” with break neck speed drumming and vocals that are spit out like a bullet from a shotgun. Very much in the vein of band’s like the Sex Pistols but even more brash and abrasive and, of course, fast. Or if you want something harder and didn’t think the subject matter of a song could get much cruder, check out “Narre’s Finest Future Baby”—this one is infused with aggressive sexual energy targeted toward… well, your mom. Great for the lover of anything old school punk or metal. It’s in their song “Truth Is Out” where the band shows they’re no one-trick-pony. Subtleties in the dynamics and chaotic instrumentation recall legendary noise bands like Sonic Youth. Raging, raw, and powerful. Don’t miss your chance to see Red Soaking Wet rock out on stage at The Espy tomorrow night, August 2nd where they’re set to go head to head in a line up of six other killer local bands in round one of Emergenza Festival Australia.
