The Signature Song Writing of Ash Archer and The Spitfires

Melbourne band Ash Archer and The Spitfires can’t wait to impress the crowd tomorrow night at The Espy with their strong repertoire of original tunes

Ash Archer and The Spitfires have fully earned their self-description of nobody like us. Their sound is fresh and young, and yet they seem connected in a way to the old school in their classic approach to song writing—you might call him an old soul, but there’s one guarantee: Ash is far beyond his peers in terms of his song writing. Solid instrumentals and well thought out arrangements complement the incredible poppy-ness of the vocal lines, while expertly placed vocal harmonies and guitar riffs make every song pop. His first full-length album Ride Like The Wind saw the light of day in March of this year and includes songs like the infectiously catchy “Let It Burn” and "I (Black Eyes)", whose folkier approach and killer harmonica parts add a certain charm to his sound. There’s no doubt about it, Ash Archer was made for the radio. Don’t miss your next chance to see him play live with his current line up Ash Archer and The Spitfires. They’re set to hit the stage at The Espy tomorrow night, August 2nd for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. More info on the gig here.
