Old School Glam To The Max: JumpBox

Check out Melbourne band JumpBox on stage at The Espy tomorrow night with original old school metal and glam inspired tunes

Known to don superhero getups for their onstage performances as well as their offstage antics, it’s going to be a delightful surprise to know how Melbourne band JumpBox turns up to the gig at The Espy tomorrow night, August 1st, where they battle it out with six other local bands in round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. But, wardrobe choices aside, one thing’s for sure: these guys are going to rock. In the vein of the greatest hard rock and glam acts, these guys are all about blues rock guitar riffs, high on the neck finger tapping, a hundred mile and hour rhythm sections and vocals that range from pop rock melodies to the rough growl of old school metal. With a hook that could stand up to some of the greatest rock and roll songs, you’ll love “You’re So Sweet”—all about an angel who brings out the devilish nature in a man. And you’ll go crazy for the slide guitar and fantastic drumming on “You”, where you can definitely pick up the seventies influences of bands like Cream. Be sure to come out to see them at The Espy tomorrow night. It’s going to be killer. More show details here.
