The Mad Flow of Mr. Sinister

Sydney rapper Mr. Sinister makes his stage debut at The Lair this Sunday, July 20th

You can say whatever you want about Mr. Sinister—you don’t have to be a fan of hip hop—but there’s one thing for sure: this guy has mad flow. His self-description of intricate, lyrical, prowess couldn’t be more accurate, and his minimalist set up—beats, synth and vocals—are perfect for capturing the dynamism of what this rapper has to say. Mr. Sinister, in a V mask, attempts to empower his audience by rapping about injustices around the world. His vocal tone and healthy dose of cynicism are clearly inspired by Eminem; the macabre vibe he explores in some of his songs may be indebted to rapper Tech N9ne; but there’s no denying this rapper is original. Check out songs like “Back Again ft. KillaT” to get a dose of his synth riffs laid over fat beats. Listen to “Haunted By The Beat” for a spooky vocal doubling effect that makes it seem like the rapper is hearing voices in his head. And definitely don’t miss out on your next chance to see Mr. Sinister. He’s making his stage debut at The Lair this Sunday, July 20th for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia—not a bad start, eh? Click here for more show info.
