These young garage punk rockers from Sydney describe their music as damp, dewy and seductive… wait, what?!—well, they are called Foot Filth after all. The lo-fi sound and adolescent subject matter they explore in their songs make them perfect for the angsty teen wanting to get out some pure, raw emotion and not giving an f about how they do it. They’ve got an infectious, carefree kind of attitude, evidenced by songs like “No Regrets”—all about sneaking onto their rooftops, smoking cigarettes and chatting with girls. The one overwhelming aspect that stands out about their music is how much they have fun while making it—not taking themselves too seriously and not over thinking their songs. In the same vein of artists like FIDLAR they prove you don’t necessarily need much to make a song memorable. Just plug in and go. That’s exactly what they do. And, so far, it’s working.
