    Dyngrauk: Gritty, Raw Punk Rock

Sydney punk rockers Dyngrauk take their raw, high energy stage show to The Lair this Sunday, July 20th

Self-described as fast, sloppy and groovy, Sydney punk band Dyngrauk writes songs perfect for those moments when you just don’t give a sh*t, wanna skip school or work, don’t wanna answer to anyone but yourself—their song “Original Joker” definitely describes a mood exactly like that. Given that, it’s probably no surprise the band gets their name from the Swedish for shit-faced drunk. Taking a note from bands like the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and Aussie band Frenzal Rhomb, Dyngrauk is all about feedback and distortion to the max—dirty, raw sound. Just the way punk rock should be. This Sunday, July 20th at The Lair you can expect to hear original songs like “Original Joker”, “Does She Know”, and “Hector The Bus Inspector”—and they might just surprise you with a classic Ramones or Black Sabbath cover as well. Lovers of old school punk and hard rock, stay tuned. The tension’s going to be high in this first step of Emergenza Festival Australia, and these guys definitely have their eyes on the prize: playing on the huge stage at Taubertal Open Air Festival. A lot riding on the line. But Dyngrauk has more than enough grit to get through it. Click here for more show info.
