These young gentlemen are getting geared up to take on Emergenza Festival Australia for the second year running and can’t wait to get back on the stage at The Lair. They say they got a feel for it already, so watch out newcomers! Catch A Gentlemen's Agreement next Friday, July 18th for round one of the festival. In the meantime, check out what the guys had to say to us before the show.

HOW DID YOU AGREE ON YOUR NAME A GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT?
Our original name was average and after James joined we decided to get serious, so throwing names around A Gentlemen's Agreement came up and we all responded positively! In the mix A Well Dressed Pig came up that became our EP title instead.

WHO PLAYS WHAT IN THE BAND AND WHAT KEEPS YOU INSPIRED TO PLAY MUSIC TOGETHER?
I sing and play rhythm guitar, Andrew's on bass, James's on guitar and my brother Reece’s on drums. We enjoy writing and performing music, and to hear and see so many enjoy it as well keeps us moving.

IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND IN THREE WORDS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
Energetic, loud, raw.

WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR MAJOR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
We each have our own influences and some even from different genres, mine personally change all the time as I hear new music. Individually Dave Grohl is my hero and I would love to write a song with him one day or even talk over a few drinks. Band influences though currently: Godsmack, Tool, Karnivool, Deftones and Twelve Foot Ninja.

WHAT'S THE CRAZIEST THING YOU'VE DONE TOGETHER AS A BAND?
I wish we had something here, but currently all we have is funny memories—I think our fans need to help us with some crazy moments!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT YOUR SHOW AT THE LAIR?
To play that stage again! Last time we got a feel for it… and now we want to dominate it!

WITH OTHER BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITIONS AROUND, WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE EMERGENZA?
The friendly Emergenza team, the stages we can play on, the advertising for us and the potential judges in the finals. Oh, and lets not forget Seizure Kaiser!
