Just think of the intensity and the aftermath of a freak hailstorm—the air pressure drops, there’s an eerie calm… and then all shit hits the fan. Well, that sums up the vibe of Awaiting The Hail almost to a “t”. Their self-description of deep, epic, visceral, is pretty right on the money as well. Take their song “Lifeless” whose, slow melancholy middle section is truly the calm before the storm. The dejnt rhythm section, eerie guitars, double bass pedal and screaming will definitely send chills up your spine. Awaiting The Hail are currently working on their first demo, so for now, you’ll have to content yourself with streaming “Lifeless” on the band’s Reverbnation page… and of course seeing them live. Be prepared to get down in a heavy way when the band hits the stage at The Espy tomorrow night, June 20th for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia.
