With just a single track that can be streamed on their Soundcloud page, King Evil from Melbourne keeps their public guessing. But, fortunately for them, the focus is on quality over quantity, making that one track, entitled “Blackfish”, a total running start for this band. Imagine the epic-ness of Pink Floyd’s Echoes, mixed with Radiohead’s Ok Computer, the drug-induced sassiness of Primal Scream, and the bellowing vocals of bands like Tool. Perhaps it’s not so strange then that the band lists every one of those artists as major influences on their sound. Their dark, groovy vibe and their uninhibited expression make for one heavy, psychedelic live experience as well.
