Er Among the Ether is definitely all about challenging traditional notions of psychedelic… don’t think frilly shirts, flowery pastures and blue skies when you think of Er Among the Ether. Their brand of psychedelic music is something that drives deep into your brain as if by a hammer, totally enveloping your mental capacity. This is hard progressive experimental psych. Perhaps it’s no surprise that the band claims to use black magic while rehearsing. They’ve got a killer video out for their original song “Some People Are Better Left Alone” that will give you a pretty good idea of what may have gone down on stage at The Lair last night for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia.
