Excuse My French Take Their Jazzy, Funky Tunes to the Stage at The Lair
This young band from Sydney just showcased their original tunes and positive on stage vibe at The Lair
Excuse My French is all about solid original song writing and totally uninhibited, passionate performances. They’ve been staying in practice and tightening things up as much as possible in preparation to go on stage at The Lair in Sydney for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. Known for covering everything from Radiohead’s “Creep” to “Friday I’m in Love” by the Cure, they’ve got quite an eclectic mix of influences. But they assimilate these differing influences into their own signature sound, as evidenced on original tracks like “Call Me in the Moonlight”, with its Jazzy chord progressions, simple guitar, raw drums and bass, always complimented by the vocals of lead singer/bassist who uses his warm, jazzy vocals to do a lot more than curse (Hey, at least we know he has enough manners to excuse himself afterward!). Click here to follow Excuse My French, and be sure to check back in with us at Emergenza.net to see if they’ve made it to the semi-finals!
