Heartfelt Folk Music from Absent Minded Daze

Folk singer songwriter Absent Minded Daze takes his original, heartfelt songs to the stage at The Espy this Sunday

His stage name being inspired by how this singer songwriter feels when he’s composing music, it’s not hard to imagine how the music of Absent Minded Daze can suck you in with powerful emotions. Self-described as storytelling heartfelt folk, he uses standard chord progressions and simple picking patterns on acoustic guitar to support his original lyrics, which explore compelling topics like lost love and the mystery of the afterlife. While pure, raw emotion pours out of his reverb-heavy guitar, his soft, soulful vocals flow freely overtop, creating a dreamy musical landscape for his listeners to ponder.

Check out his Soundcloud to get a better idea of what he’s all about as an artist. There you can listen to songs like “My Confession” and “Lost” which will get you in the right mood to see him perform live. With just his voice and his guitar, he’s going to take to the stage at The Espy on Sunday, March 30th for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. Head to head with a diverse line up of local bands that play anything from hard rock to hip hop, it’s going to be quite a feat, but, my guess is Absent Minded Daze won’t have trouble handling it.
