Local Melbourne band Amethyst Close brings hardcore to a whole new level, with super intense vocals, fat groove and sick synth sounds. Their song “My Alkaline” demonstrates their inhumanely fast paced riffing on guitar and synth, whereas “Desolate Minds” illustrates how they fuse symphonic metal influences into their hardcore sound. With the in your face screaming of vocalist Jared D'Alfonso always at the forefront, Amethyst Close includes Bradley Scott on guitar, Dimitri Moraitis on guitar, Robert Carlson on bass, Mark Yacoub on drums, Vernon Pope on synth.
Together with the song “Painting Self Portraits” these three singles are part of a much-anticipated debut album. While you’re waiting for that to hit, make sure to come out and see Amethyst Close at The Espy in Melbourne for round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. They’re getting pumped up for the show as we speak and are stoked to be playing alongside such a diverse line up. Positivity meets brutality for a kick ass show. You won’t want to miss it!
