Let’s start with the beginning—the minute your band fills the pre-enrolment form online at our website. Before you get your first concert date, we’ll book you a meeting with one of our staff, who will help you every step of the way, answering questions and giving advice on anything from live performing to ticket sales and promotion. Priceless mentoring from industry professionals.

9. NETWORKING
In Australia, there were nearly 200 bands enrolled and over 40 concerts just last year. That said, being in the Emergenza loop is an incredible opportunity to network with fellow local musicians—that could get you more shows, connections to local producers, booking agents, venues, or just a solid set of new musician friends.

8. GREAT VENUES
Right out of the gates from the first stage of the competition, you’ll get the chance to play some of Australia’s best venues. We’re talking The X&Y Bar and The Hi-Fi in Brisbane, The Espy in Melbourne, The Lair at The Metro and The Factory Theatre in Sydney. If you’re lucky enough to get to the finals, you’ll rock the main stage at The Metro in Sydney, where well-known acts like Jeff Buckley, Muse, Franz Ferdinand and countless others have played.

7. FREE PROMOTION
Promotion is key for the success of any band. And here’s where Emergenza really sets itself apart from the other festivals. We provide top-notch promotion for every band, every step of the way. The bands will have their original material and live shows reviewed by our team, as well as a one on one interview, where the band can open up about their music and their experience in the festival—all in the name of providing high-quality promotional material to our bands.

6. PHOTO SHOOT
Images literally speak louder than words, and in most cases louder than your music! That’s why Emergenza provides a free photo service to all of our bands. The bands will have a professional photographer totally dedicated to capturing their every move while rocking out on stage. Not only that, but these photos will be the band’s to use however they wish during or after the festival.

5. NO DISCRIMINATION
We are open to all musical genres, and we mean ALL. Just last year in Australia we had bands playing everything under the sun, including folk, metal, reggae, hardcore, punk, blues, classic rock, hip hop, r&b, psychedelic, and the list goes on. Literally anything you can imagine, the Emergenza Festival stage has seen. Not only that, but musicians from the tender age of 16 on up to seriously versed musicians with long careers have played on our stages. And we like it like that.

4. $MONEY$
It's easy. There is NO enrollment fee. You do NOT pay to play. A 100$ Deposit is requested and will be fully reimbursed to all bands that will show up and play. If a band do not show up for the gig, then the band lose the money. That’s to protect us against bands that aren’t serious and willing to act in a professional way. There is no obligation to sell a minimum number of ticket however the bands actually splits the earnings with Emergenza!

3. ONLINE DISTRIBUTION
Yep, you heard us right. Emergenza has a deal with a top online music distributor that will get your tunes in all the major online music stores like iTunes, AmazonMP3, Google Music, MTV Music, and many, many others.

2. BIGGER IS BETTER
Don’t forget Emergenza is the world’s biggest festival for unsigned bands. So make the most of us! Each band will have their own special portal on our website where they can upload original music, photos and video, and give a play-by-play of their whole festival experience. 1. EUROPE
The national finalist from Australia will get to jet set to Europe where they’ll play on a huge stage at the Taubertal Open Air Festival in Germany together with the national finalists from around the world. A jury will decide the best band in the world and send them to rock the Taubertal main stage, where artists like The Cure, Pink, Iggy Pop, and The Hives have all played. We’ll provide them with a full production and tour, not to mention tons of brand new music gear!
