Domenica says she’s a singer songwriter who creates “raw, powerful music with just two guitars and a microphone”, and there’s no arguing with that. But, although she classifies herself as indie-folk, influenced by bands like Mumford and Sons, The Tallest Man on Earth, Matt Corby and Regina Spektor, she actually has an incredible pop appeal, evidenced by her growing fan base. She’s just starting out, and she already has over 2,000 likes on her Facebook band page.

Take her original song “Brand New City” as the example, where her lyrics “I promise you…” will stay in your head for days. “Springtime Sun”, another one of her singles, shows off her more melancholy, heady vibe, but nonetheless she succeeds in making her melodies memorable. So, it’s really no wonder at all that she’s taking the Sydney music scene by storm, gigging, recording and releasing her debut EP, and even being nominated for songwriting awards.
