Boson Higgs: Getting Higgsy With It

Sydney rock and roll band has a killer set of original songs, and they can’t wait to rock you on the 1st at The Factory Theatre for the semi-finals

As the band says “If you like to be slapped in the face by your rock n’ roll, then soothed by the sweet sounds of wailing blues, then you need help”. But it's ok, because Boson Higgs is here to bring you just that mix. Their original song “Better Days” is a perfect example of their softer side, as well as the themes they tend to explore in their songs, often dealing with overcoming obstacles, bettering yourself, or otherwise dealing with your demons.

But they’re really looking forward to rocking their original tune, fittingly entitled, “Rock and Roll Makes Me Wanna Love You”, which is the exact kind of song they say that anyone can get into and the one that tends to go over the best with their crowds. It’s probably the one which best mixes the influences they take from different generations – anything from classics like Jimmy Hendrix, Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin, to modern bands like The Black Keys, Band of Skulls, and The White Stripes.

They find nothing more satisfying than rocking out live and getting their crowd moving. They haven’t been together for that long, and already have a formidable list of venues under their belts, including The Lair, Herman’s Bar, The Gladstone, The Crowie, Valve Bar, Art Factory, and are now looking forward to adding The Factory Theatre to that list. On the first of November they’re planning to battle it out with eight other bands to get to the finals of the Emergenza Festival. You are not going to want to miss Boson Higgs.
