Just the Start of the Journey for INTO THE FIREPLACE

Young Sydney band Into The Fireplace shows incredible talent in composing powerful, original indie rock tunes

Into The Fireplace is just starting a long musical journey together. Think of the way Harry Potter transports himself magically on the Floo Network by simply casting himself into a flaming fireplace. That’s the way Into The Fireplace will transport you with their magical feeling indie rock. They’re really proud of their latest single, and the first track from their upcoming EP. The song’s called “Bank Robbery” and showcases the band’s talent for composing simple, powerful indie pop rock songs. The riffing in the upper register of the lead guitar contrasts beautifully with the soulful, solid delivery of the female vocalist.

The other song that’s available to stream on their Facebook band page, called “Speak My Name”, shows off the band’s softer, more vulnerable side in a slow, emotional build up with soft, airy vocals, and string accompaniment. The way the vocalist Chiara’s voice cracks into her falsetto range will melt your heart. Into The Fireplace are masters of dynamics, stretching their indie-rock songs into audio landscapes, and they will take you for a ride. They’ve already won over the crowd at the first round of the Emergenza Festival and have been whisked off to the semi-finals. Make sure to see this incredible up and coming band when they play live at The Factory Theatre on the 19th.
