ROCK MONSTER Looking to Put on a Raging Rock and Roll Show

Melbourne band Rock Monster looks forward to breezing through the semi-finals on their road to The Hi-Fi, but first they’ve got to put on their best at The Espy on the 18th

The name of this band says it all. They’re monsters of rock, and they take it to the extreme with their unique, dramatic layered sound. They take their inspiration from all sorts of bands from the The Foo Fighters, to The Divinyls, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cold Chisel, and Powderfinger, but definitely have an Aussie sound, right to the core. Their full rock and roll set-up, including four vocalists, allow them to explore layered harmonies, and gives them an edge toward the dramatic, employing screaming vocals and ripping lead guitar wherever and whenever possible.

With all this power, it’s not really a surprise that they were able to win over their audience during the first round of the competition. Now, somehow, between rehearsals, gigs and studio time, they’ve managed to prepare their set for the semi-finals of the Emergenza Festival. They’re looking forward to putting on a super high-energy performance, in an attempt to get to the finals and play at the illustrious Hi-Fi, so be sure to drop by The Espy on the 18th to put your vote in for Rock Monster.
