CRYPTIC SCORN Won’t be Taking Any Prisoners at the Semi-Finals

Sydney metal band plays hard with no remorse, and won’t be taking any prisoners on their gory path to the Emergenza finals…

Cryptic Scorn has been honing their old school metal sound since they were little child-sized metal heads. If you ask them, they’ll tell you their sound is all “shredding axes, bass so heavy it could cause an earthquake, blistering drums and vokills straight out of hell”. They have a strong set of original songs, which indicate their metal influences, from Pantera to Sepultura to Anal Cunt. And any one of the five songs that you can stream on their Facebook band page would be the perfect example of this. Their original song “Metal Necromancer” is a full on smash-your-face metal frenzy, whereas “Burn” is a slower, dark ballad, complete with raw, raspy vocals, which build up into a climax of explosive percussion, crunch, and sick sounding feedback in the middle of the song.

Their live show is loud, obnoxious, interactive, always different, and above all, as they say, full of SCORN. They won the last heat of the festival when they finished their concert with all of their fans screaming “Cryptic Scorn” at the top of their lungs. And the band is psyched up to bring their hellish brand of old-school metal to a new set of fans at The Factory Theatre for the semi-finals. Don’t miss out on a chance to see one of their explosive stage performances on the 18th. They’re gonna rip the show up. Feel the SCORN.
