Aimee and her band put a really fat sound into their pop rock formula. They dream of one day filling an entire stadium with their sound, but are more then content to start at The Espy. They’ve already rocked it out once for round one of the Emergenza Festival and are now on their way to the semi-finals at The Espy on the 18th. It’s gonna be a great opportunity to support your local female talent and hear some great tunes as well. Before the show, Aimee lets us in on what she’s looking forward to most about the upcoming gig.

FOR THOSE WHO MISSED OUT ON YOUR ROUND ONE SHOW, CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR SOUND?
Our sound is fat pop rock! It has a certain stadium rock feel.

WHAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE FIRST ROUND FOR YOU?
The gig itself was so much fun!

WHICH ONE OF YOUR SONGS DO YOU FEEL SPEAKS TO THE FANS AND REPRESENTS THE BAND THE BEST?
'Golden Smiles,' which is the current single (available via online retailers), sends a message of honesty and hope and it really represents what I am all about when writing music.

UP TO THIS POINT, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN THE BAND'S BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
As a band releasing our Single and soon to be released EP are massive accomplishments for us.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAVE BEEN YOUR BIGGEST OBSTACLES SO FAR?
Having the time for rehearsals. As we are all studying musicians as well as working musicians finding time can be hard, but we manage to pull together.

HOW DOES IT FEEL BEING ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EMERGENZA FINALS?
So Excited!! It's an amazing opportunity and we are stoked to have even played round one.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO TAKE AWAY FROM YOUR UPCOMING CONCERT AT THE ESPY?
Every gig we try to learn and improve on something, as I feel all bands can improve no matter what level they are. and hopefully a place in the state final! Haha

WITH OTHER BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITIONS AROUND, WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE EMERGENZA?
Emergenza is an amazing opportunity to experience all parts or a gig, including, photo-shoot, interviews, reviews etc. So it was really a no brainer!
