It’s all pretty simple with Shoreside: these guys just have a passion for playing music, and will seek out any opportunity for a positive experience playing live. They were really moved by having perfect strangers get into their music so much at the first round of the Emergenza competition and are really looking forward to having yet another chance to grow their fan base at the semi-finals this month. They go on stage on the 18th at The Espy, so don’t miss out! Before the show, they take the time to converse with Emergenza.

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHO SHORESIDE ARE?
We're just five debatably normal guys who see music as their passion and love to have a good time. Shoreside is what we do because we love doing it.

WHAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE FIRST ROUND FOR YOU?
We loved everyone getting into it, especially people we'd never met or seen before. There’s nothing like watching strangers become fans due to the performance you have just given.

WHICH ONE OF YOUR SONGS DO YOU FEEL SPEAKS TO THE FANS AND REPRESENTS THE BAND THE BEST?
The song we close on, “Chapter One”. It was written about the band and what we have gone through to get where we are now.

UP TO THIS POINT, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN THE BAND'S BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Music video, studio album, rewarding experience, etc. It's all been fantastic.
Our biggest accomplishments would have to be our music video, our studio album entitled Desolation and the rewarding experience of being able to perform our music to the people that enjoy it.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAVE BEEN YOUR BIGGEST OBSTACLES SO FAR?
Our biggest obstacle? You know what, I don’t think we have met any obstacles yet. If we have, we've just taken it as it’s come and have moved through it without a hitch.

HOW DOES IT FEEL BEING ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EMERGENZA FINALS?
We’re stoked! We would love the chance to be able to play in the next round and we’re so happy that we have made it this far.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO TAKE AWAY FROM YOUR UPCOMING CONCERT AT THE ESPY?
All we really look for is to have a good night while playing some awesome music with some awesome people. And of course if we’re lucky enough, make it into the next round!

WITH OTHER BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITIONS AROUND, WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE EMERGENZA?
We always love playing at The Espy. We love playing shows with bands we know, and we also love seeing bands we've never met before and figured this would be a great experience. Safe to say we were right!
